Two outa three ain't bad

I just finished putting up 100 more questions: all the multiple-choice from the 22nd Intermediate test. (That's 22회 중급!) So: go try it out! New interface for selecting problem sets too! 날다람쥐 한국어능력시험!

Take a look, cool people!

Okay! I took a couple days off, but now version 5 is release feature complete! That means you can access, RIGHT NOW, 100 Korean questions from the 22nd TOPIC exam (초급/Elementary level)! You can log in to keep your progress, you can instantly see which questions you've done and whether you've gotten them right, you can easily navigate to the next question in a set, and this includes ALL the listening questions, with just the right segments of audio that you need to hear!

I'm not advertising this to the whole world yet, but I do want certain cool people to take a look and let me know what's good, and what can be improved! So please take a look at the main site but principally the

날다람쥐 TOPIK interface

and let me know what you think!

Progress! Almost ready for people to see...

Questions for the vocabulary and grammar, writing, and listening sections of elementary TOPIK test 22 are up on the site! After I get the reading questions up, it'll be time for people to start checking it out. The structure of the site itself is just about set, just a few more features for happier user experience, and it'll be ready to roll!

Things that are annoying

Things that are annoying include realizing that you should have made examples with the structure of questions, because that's what they are: example questions. So then you have to go back and re-write a bunch of crap, and your only solace is that it really will save eons of time later on when you're just adding all the material that's structured in this way. Which is pretty decent solace, really. I guess.

Version 5 will be totally multi-user!

Just added multi-user access to the new naldaramjui.com (not yet released). And I used to think cookies were weird and hard to work with! So easy. I love Google App Engine + Python. Also I'm pretty pleased to have designed possibly the least-annoying sign-up procedure ever, combining sign-up and sign-in into just one interface element, with just two fields to fill in: email and password. It's not designed for security, but it NAILS simplicity.

Oh my gosh Twitter

Well now you can follow @naldaramjui. This is definitely the thing to do. Just think of all good reasons to do this thing. There are so many such reasons, I won't even mention them. You know what I'm talking about.

Now there's a facebook page!

I just made a facebook page, because it was more fun than continuing to do the work I was in the middle of! Now people can totally like the idea of this, via facebook! THAT MUST BE WORTH SOMETHING, RIGHT?

Version 5 is on the way!

Version 5 will be totally cool. I just improved the basic structure of the HTML lying around by using Django templating, which makes design changes way easier. I love it. Data structures for TOPIK questions are just about all set up, so v.5 should come along quickly now and offer full TOPIK question type functionality (except for constructed-response questions). Hurrah!
